The ski area
Manigod
3 minutes from the chalet, the Croix Fry and Merdassier mountains make up the Manigod ski area. Gentle slopes and a variety of sunny, mountain restaurants make this an ideal location for families.

La Clusaz
Just a 10 minute drive from La Luciole is the charming village of La Clusaz. One of the oldest ski resorts in the French Alps it offers all the conveniences of a top ski destination - minus the crowds. The area has an excellent snow record because of its proximity to Mont Blanc and the large number of north facing slopes.
  • 132 km of pistes, 1.5 km vertical drop, 5 linked mountains
  • Aiguille - off-piste, cruising, moguls and snow park overlooking the village. Aiguille has it all
  • Beauregard - beautiful views and beginner slopes at the top, a long blue all the way down to the village
  • Étale - more challenging runs at this quieter location
  • La Balme - Mont Blanc panorama, long reds and blues, freeride paradise

Le Grand Bornand
35 minutes from the chalet is the pretty ski village of Le Grand Bornand. This scenic ski area has a large variety of runs (90 km) to suit all abilities and can be accessed with the Aravis lift pass. This pass allows you to ski at La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand giving a total of 220 km of piste and 96 lifts.

Megève, La Giettaz
Only 30 minutes drive from the chalet is a small ski area called La Giettaz. As well as having some easier, quieter runs La Giettaz is linked into the huge ski domain of Megève which gives you access to 445km of pistes with the Megeve Evasion ski pass.

Day trips
Drive 2 hours or less from La Luciole and sample the best the French and Swiss Alps have to offer, including Morzine-Avoriaz, Chamonix, Flaine, Tignes/ Val d'Isère, Les Arcs and Les Trois Vallées.
