Manigod
In the summer Manigod is awash with flowers and is truly delightful. There are 140 km of varied walks offering outstanding views. In Spring the mountain slopes are covered with wild flowers and in Autumn the different shades of gold, orange and russet are very picturesque. La Clusaz The activities available are numerous and include - walking, aqua centre, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, ice skating, archery, rock climbing, via ferrata (iron walkway on a rockface), tennis, golf, cinema, paragliding, mountain bike trails and downhill course, pony riding, dry toboggan run, etc. During the peak weeks of summer you can take a chairlift (mountain bikes also), gondola or cable car to explore the upper mountain areas with their wonderful views. There is a weekly market and numerous fetes and musical events are held throughout the summer. Events Manigod Fetes and musical events are held throughout the summer.The famous Tour de France cycle race has been in this area almost every year for the last nine years, twice actually passing the chalet and is very entertaining to watch.
