Chamonix
The site of the first winter Olympics, Chamonix is not only the oldest and biggest French mountain resort, it is an important mountaineering centre. Geneva The international city of Geneva stands on the banks of the largest lake in central Europe and at the foot of the Jura mountains. The 'Jet d'eau' fountain is a famous focal point of the lake.
